Ravi Teja and Shiva Nirvana's Telugu Drama Irumudi Arrives in Theatres

Director Shiva Nirvana's latest Telugu feature film, Irumudi, starring Ravi Teja in the lead role alongside Priya Bhavani Shankar and Baby Nakshathra, was released in theatres on August 21, 2026.

The film follows the story of Trinadh, played by Ravi Teja, a resident of Polluru and a devotee of Ayyappa Swamy who operates a banana plantation. The narrative centres heavily on the strong bond between Trinadh and his young daughter, Manemma, played by Baby Nakshathra. In the storyline, Manemma shares everything with her father, an openness that occasionally creates friction between Trinadh and others in the community.

The core conflict of the film is triggered when Manemma and other girls from the village begin travelling to a neighbouring village to attend high school. A subsequent series of unexpected events forces Trinadh into action to protect his family and address the escalating situation.

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, the film features supporting performances by Sai Kumar and Ramesh Indira. The technical crew includes music composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer Vishnu Sharma, and editor Prawin Pudi.

The production focuses on an emotional narrative anchored by the father-daughter relationship, presenting Ravi Teja in a grounded, performance-driven role as Trinadh rather than a conventional commercial hero persona.
