Rapper French Montana Headlines Royal Stag BoomBox Concert at Gachibowli Stadium

Moroccan-American rapper French Montana headlined the Royal Stag BoomBox concert at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad, delivering an energetic solo set of his major hits to a packed crowd. The event, presented under the theme "The Original Sound of the Generation," marked the global hip-hop artist's first major stage concert in Hyderabad.

Born Karim Kharbouch, French Montana brought his signature musical style—blending his Moroccan heritage with contemporary American hip-hop—to the Gachibowli venue. His performance featured a continuous sequence of his chart-topping tracks and well-known songs, including "Unforgettable," "No Stylist," and "Pop That," alongside selections from his album catalogue such as "Jungle Rules," "Montana," and "They Got Amnesia."

Speaking after his performance, the rapper shared his thoughts on the Hyderabad audience and his experience taking the stage. He described the reception as beautiful and noted that the crowd actively engaged and enjoyed the back-to-back delivery of his popular songs throughout the night. French Montana mentioned that while he had previously performed a single song at a wedding in India, this concert served as his primary introduction to performing live for the city's music fans.

Reflecting on his career spanning over two decades, the rapper also addressed the shifting dynamics of the hip-hop genre and the rise of fast-moving social media trends. He emphasized that artists and the industry should focus on creating timeless music rather than chasing fleeting moments, stating that golden music lasts forever.

He further commented on the modern landscape of the rap industry, pointing out that having a viral moment with label backing does not replace true artistry once the trend fades. According to Montana, the industry needs to return to foundational artist development to build genuine superstars.

When asked about his catalogue and career motivation, French Montana noted that all of his songs hold personal significance and that his passion for music remains his primary driving force. He explained that his craft has served as both a personal getaway and an avenue to travel the world and collaborate with other artists, concluding that music ultimately represents life to him.
