Rains Lash Hyderabad Bringing Down Temperatures, Moula Ali Records 52 mm

Several parts of Hyderabad received steady showers on Sunday following overnight rainfall, bringing down temperatures across the city and providing relief from the warm conditions experienced since the beginning of August.

After waking up to cloudy skies in the morning, showers returned to multiple localities post noon. Rain lashed areas across the city and its outskirts, including Moula Ali, A.S. Rao Nagar, Nacharam, Mallapur, Tarnaka, Ameenpur, Keesara, Miyapur, Kavadiguda, Medchal, Serilingampally, and parts of Shamshabad.

According to data recorded by the Telangana Development Planning Society up to 7 p.m., Moula Ali registered the highest rainfall in the city at 52 mm. Kistareddipet followed with 24 mm, while Keesara recorded 21.8 mm of precipitation.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad recorded 19 mm of rainfall, followed by Kongara Kalan at 17 mm, Sultanpur at 16.3 mm, and RC Puram at 16 mm.

Other areas across the city also reported moderate rainfall through the evening, with Miyapur recording 15.5 mm, Medchal registering 14 mm, and Kukatpally logging 13 mm.
