Private Schools in Nalgonda Observe Bandh Over Principal Roopa Reddy's Murder

Private schools across Nalgonda district observed a bandh following a call by the Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA) to mourn the murder of Kallu Roopa Reddy, a principal of a private school in Kondamallepally.

The association initiated the district-wide shutdown after Roopa Reddy was brutally killed by students belonging to her school.

TRSMA district president Kodi Srinivas stated that the tragic incident had sent shockwaves through the educational community. He noted that such occurrences deeply harm and spoil the fundamental environment of respect and mutual trust required between teachers and students.

In response to the killing, TRSMA resolved to shut down private school operations across Nalgonda to express collective grief and protest the violence against the school head.

Alongside the shutdown, members of TRSMA took out a candle rally in Kondamallepally. The participants marched to pay tributes to the slain principal and mourn her death.
