Priest Hands Over 8 Tolas of Lost Gold Found Near Begumpet

A priest set an example of honesty in Begumpet after finding approximately 8 tolas of gold jewellery near the Begumpet Public School traffic signal on Thursday and handing it over to the local police. The valuable ornaments, which had fallen from the bag of a passerby, were later successfully returned to the owner after police examined surveillance footage from the area.

The priest, identified as Shashidharacharyulu, was passing near the traffic signal by Begumpet Public School when he noticed the abandoned gold ornaments on the road. The jewellery had reportedly fallen out from the bag of a commuter passing through the intersection. Upon spotting the gold, Shashidharacharyulu picked up the items and immediately made his way to the Begumpet Police Station.

At the police station, Shashidharacharyulu handed over the entire find of 8 tolas of gold directly to the police personnel on duty. Following the surrender of the lost property, the Begumpet police began working to trace the person who had lost the valuable ornaments near the busy traffic junction.

To determine the identity of the owner, the police team carefully examined CCTV footage captured by surveillance cameras located near the Begumpet Public School traffic signal. By analyzing the video recordings, officers were able to trace the sequence of events and identify the owner of the gold ornaments as Sagar, a resident belonging to the Abids area.

Once Sagar was identified and his ownership of the items was verified, the police officially handed over the recovered gold jewellery back to him. The police praised Shashidharacharyulu for his remarkable honesty, integrity, and responsible conduct in ensuring that the lost gold reached its rightful owner safely.
