Pragathi Nagar Rainwater Harvesting Pit Helps Ease Traffic and Water Stagnation

A recharge borewell-cum-rainwater harvesting pit has been constructed and brought into active use near Pragathi Nagar Kaman at Nizampet Circle, situated in the Quthbullapur Zone within Cyberabad Municipal Corporation limits.
The civic facility was set up at the KGR function hall near Pragathi Nagar Kaman to address a persistent issue of water stagnation at an important transit point. The recurring accumulation of rainwater at the location had previously caused continuous disruptions to traffic movement.
Under the newly implemented setup, accumulated rainwater is diverted directly away from the road surface and channeled into the harvesting pit. The water is then recharged into the ground through injection borewells.
The operational recharge facility has helped improve ground conditions at Pragathi Nagar Kaman, easing traffic flow during rainy conditions while simultaneously enabling local groundwater recharge.
