Power Cuts Announced in Barkatpura, Chikkadpally and Other Areas

Several areas across Hyderabad, specifically under the Azamabad and Hyderabad City-II Division limits, will experience temporary power interruptions on Saturday due to repair works on electrical infrastructure.

According to electricity department officials, the scheduled power outages will affect localities including Barkatpura, Chikkadpally, Anandnagar, Jamai Osmania, and Buddhanagar at staggered intervals throughout the day.

In Barkatpura, the power supply will be disrupted from 10:30 am to 11:00 am to facilitate repairs on an 11 KV electricity feeder line. Following this, the power outage in Chikkadpally and Anandnagar will take place between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm.

Residents in Jamai Osmania will face a power disruption from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, while Buddhanagar will experience an outage from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

CBD Assistant Divisional Engineers (ADEs) G. Nageswar Rao and D. Vinod Kumar stated that these interruptions are necessary to carry out essential maintenance and repair work. They urged citizens living in the affected neighbourhoods to cooperate with the authorities and bear with the temporary inconvenience.

Residents across these localities have been requested to plan ahead, make necessary arrangements, and extend their cooperation to the electricity department while the repair works are underway.
