Ponnam Prabhakar Launches Daily IT Employee Shuttle Service At JRC Convention Centre

On Tuesday, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar launched a daily shuttle service for IT employees at the JRC Convention Centre in Hyderabad to improve their daily commute. The new initiative is designed to address transport gaps and provide better connectivity for the city's tech workforce.

Speaking at the launch event, Minister Prabhakar emphasized that the government is taking all necessary measures to develop Hyderabad into a global city. He highlighted the importance of public transit and eco-friendly travel options in achieving this goal.

To support these urban development efforts, the minister requested that all IT employees make active use of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) services. He also encouraged the use of electric vehicles among commuters.

Prabhakar stated that the state government is introducing several new initiatives to strengthen the overall transport system in Telangana. One of the key measures highlighted by the minister is the state's EV Policy, which aims to promote sustainable transport.

In addition to the daily shuttle service, the minister announced that the TGSRTC is introducing new bus services on specific routes. These new bus services are aimed at routes that currently lack adequate public transport facilities, ensuring better connectivity for underserved areas.

The launch event at the JRC Convention Centre was attended by several prominent officials and transport representatives. Among those present were TPCC Campaign Committee Chairman Madhu Yashki Goud and Additional Transport Commissioner Ramesh.

Representatives from Daily Shuttles and local IT employees also attended the programme to mark the official commencement of the new daily shuttle services.
