Ponguleti Orders Aug 14 Deadline to Upload Section 22-A Land Records

Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy directed revenue officials to upload all documents related to the regularisation of lands by August 14. The minister issued these instructions during a meeting held on Tuesday with district collectors and sub-registrars representing Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. The discussion focused specifically on addressing issues related to prohibited properties across the region.

Addressing public concerns regarding property registrations, Srinivas Reddy assured citizens that there was no need for apprehension over lands included in the Prohibitory Order Book (POB) list under Section 22-A. He emphasized that justice would be done to every legally eligible person affected by these entries.

To streamline the verification process, the minister instructed officials to upload a comprehensive set of documentation. This includes government orders (GOs), orders, memos, land acquisition proceedings, layout permissions, and other relevant records issued by the government so far.

According to Srinivas Reddy, the move to upload these documents will help prevent the use of forged documents during property transactions. It is designed to provide clarity to sub-registrars during the registration process, enabling officials to carry out additional verification to distinguish genuine documents from fake ones.

As part of these measures, the minister stated that steps are being taken to provide sub-registrars with direct access to pahanis, or land records, to ensure greater transparency in land administration.

Srinivas Reddy also outlined administrative expectations for officials attending the meeting. He stated that the responsibility of district collectors was not merely to resolve problems after they arise, but to ensure that such issues do not occur in the first place.
