Police Seize Over 5,000 Ganja-Laced Chocolates in Shameerpet

Police in Hyderabad seized more than 5,000 ganja-laced chocolates near Shameerpet on Friday, triggering concerns over the distribution of narcotic-infused items to youngsters and children in the area.
According to reports, the contraband chocolates were allegedly being marketed and sold through a pan shop. Investigators noted that children and youth were the primary targets for the illicit sale of the narcotic-laced confectionery.
Following the seizure, police launched a detailed investigation to identify those responsible for the supply and retail distribution of the items. Officers are working to trace the originating source and supply network of the contraband.
Authorities are also expected to intensify inspections across shops in and around the Shameerpet locality to prevent the circulation and sale of narcotic substances disguised as ordinary sweets and confectionery products.
