Police Seize Karnataka Liquor Worth Rs 1.5 Lakh Near SR Nagar, One Arrested

Ameerpet police seized 55 bottles of Karnataka Premium and Defence liquor worth approximately Rs 1.5 lakh near SR Nagar on Friday, leading to the arrest of one individual.

According to police officials, the arrested person has been identified as 46-year-old K. Govardhan Reddy. He was taken into custody for allegedly transporting and selling the non-duty-paid liquor illegally in the locality.

Investigators revealed that Reddy had sourced the liquor from Karnataka and was selling the bottles to buyers at an inflated price. Police said he was making an illegal profit ranging between Rs 300 and Rs 500 per bottle.

The Ameerpet police confiscated the entire consignment of 55 bottles during the operation and registered a case against the accused for unauthorized possession and sale of interstate liquor.
