Police seize 1,000 bullets from house of suspect in Khaja Moizuddin murder case

Special teams probing the murder of High Court advocate and Waqf activist Khaja Moizuddin have recovered over 1,000 unaccounted live bullets from the residence of an absconding suspect. This development comes as the VII Metropolitan Magistrate court at Nampally deferred key legal proceedings in the case to July 7.
The ammunition was seized from the house of Mohammed Muneer, who served as the driver for the main accused, Mujahid Alam Khan. Muneer is currently on the run and wanted in connection with the May 23 murder, alongside another associate of the main accused identified as Hassan Ali Chaush.
According to investigators, both Muneer and Chaush are childhood and family friends of Mujahid Alam Khan. Police sources indicate that their involvement has also been noted in various Waqf-related disputes as well as reported cases of poaching.
The victim's son, M.S. Farhan, stated that Muneer had previously targeted Moizuddin. Muneer reportedly met with the advocate over the past year in an attempt to threaten him and pressure him into dropping a legal case concerning Waqf properties. This specific dispute involved Anwar Ul Uloom, Madrassa Aizza, and Mumtaz Colleges.
Meanwhile, legal proceedings continue at the VII Metropolitan Magistrate court in Nampally. The court has scheduled the police department's petition seeking the custody of accused Mahbub Alam Khan, as well as his corresponding bail petition, for July 7.
As the investigation continues, the victim’s family has mounted pressure on law enforcement. Pointing out that 66 days have elapsed since the murder took place on May 23, relatives have urged Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar to expedite the search. Family members expressed frustration over the lack of progress in capturing the remaining absconding suspects, calling for the immediate arrest of Muneer and Chaush.
