Police Remove Controversial Banners Targeting MLA Raja Singh in Humayun Nagar

Police intervened to remove two controversial banners targeting Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh in the Humayun Nagar area of Hyderabad late Thursday night.

The banners, which featured provocative content and an objectionable image of the legislator, were spotted by local police personnel at around 11:30 pm. One banner was erected near Jahanara Masjid, directly in front of a newly constructed house identified as belonging to Salman Khan of Hyderabad Youth Courage (HYC). The second banner was found set up opposite the house.

According to officials, the banners displayed a photograph of Raja Singh with an alleged footwear mark placed across his face. The text on the displays contained provocative language and urged members of the public to add their signatures in support of a campaign directed against the MLA.

Upon spotting the displays, local police personnel alerted higher authorities and acted swiftly to take them down to prevent any escalation.

Mehdipatnam Inspector S Mallesh confirmed the intervention, stating that the matter was immediately brought to the notice of senior police officials, following which officers reached the spot and removed both banners.

The police action was initiated after a complaint was reportedly lodged regarding the objectionable banners erected in the neighbourhood.
