Police Detain Two Men in Nagarkurnool After Woman Murdered and Burnt

Police in Nagarkurnool district have detained two individuals, including a man identified as Ramulu, in connection with the murder of a 22-year-old woman at Veldanda. The victim was allegedly killed and her body was set on fire at Oddoniralla on Wednesday night.
The victim has been identified as Narumalla Anusha, a resident of Kotra village. Anusha was employed at a ladies corner shop located in Kalwakurthy town. She was married to Chennaih, who works at a hotel, and the couple has a son. Police reported that Anusha had been involved in an extramarital relationship with Ramulu, who is also from her village, for several years.
According to officials, Ramulu took Anusha to Oddoniralla on Wednesday night, where he murdered her and subsequently set her body on fire. Upon being alerted to the incident, police personnel rushed to the scene. The victim's body was recovered and shifted to a local government hospital for an autopsy procedure.
Following a complaint, the police registered a case under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Investigators then detained Ramulu alongside a second person who allegedly assisted him in committing the crime.
