Police catch two drinking at Saroornagar Lake using drone surveillance

Two individuals were apprehended by the police for consuming alcohol in a public place at Saroornagar Lake in Hyderabad. The apprehension was executed after the individuals were spotted during proactive drone surveillance conducted by the local police force.

The incident occurred during routine aerial monitoring, which is part of an ongoing effort by the police to enhance public safety and curb unlawful activities in public spaces. While patrolling the Saroornagar Lake area, the drone operators observed the two individuals drinking in the open.

Based on the live drone feed transmitted to the monitoring team, two police constables were dispatched to the scene. The constables successfully reached the exact location shown on the live feed and apprehended both individuals.

Following the confrontation, the Malkajgiri Police initiated formal legal action against the two individuals in accordance with the law.

To showcase the utility of the technology, the Malkajgiri Police shared a video of the operation on the social media platform X. The video clearly depicted the police personnel reaching the specific spot at Saroornagar Lake where the two individuals were consuming alcohol.

Local authorities stated that the police are making every effort to enhance public safety and curb unlawful activities in public places. They added that such proactive drone monitoring will continue in the future to help maintain law and order and deter violations in public spaces.
