Pink Gulabb Heritage Weaves Exhibition Opens at CCT Space in Banjara Hills

A two-day curated exhibition celebrating India’s heritage weaves, traditional art, and craftsmanship opened at CCT Space in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, on August 21.

Titled "Pink Gulabb – The Heritage Edit," the event marks the exhibition's first showcase in Hyderabad. Scheduled across August 21 and 22, the platform brings together diverse craft traditions from across the country to showcase the work and stories of master artisans.

The exhibition was inaugurated by actor, social entrepreneur, and environmentalist Amala Akkineni. Speaking at the opening, Akkineni highlighted the importance of sustaining traditional crafts and supporting the artisans who practice them.

“Preserving our heritage is not only about protecting the past, but also about ensuring that these incredible skills and livelihoods continue into the future,” Akkineni said.

Pink Gulabb was founded and curated by Mohua Chatterjee. The initiative was developed to bridge the gap between India’s traditional craft heritage and contemporary consumers seeking authentic design and individuality.

Chatterjee explained that the showcase is designed to provide heritage crafts with a modern voice. She noted that every weave, stitch, and handmade item in the collection reflects the distinct contribution of the artisan and the legacy of the tradition behind it.

The exhibition concludes its run at the Banjara Hills venue on August 22.
