Pilgrimage diary of DSP Bheem Reddy exposes illegal assets to ACB

A personal diary entry written before a pilgrimage in May has emerged as crucial evidence in a disproportionate assets case against Telangana Police Deputy Superintendent of Police Sankireddy Bheem Reddy, exposing properties across Gachibowli, Manikonda, and Tellapur. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is using the detailed note, which Bheem Reddy photographed and sent to his sons via WhatsApp, to trace nearly 20 assets, debts, and properties held directly or through benamis.
Bheem Reddy, who serves in the Telangana Police Computer Services, undertook the Char Dham Yatra to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath with his wife during the second and third weeks of May. Before embarking on the journey, he recorded details of his properties, outstanding receivables, and liabilities, specifying how they should be distributed among his family members. Investigators believe the couple was influenced by reports of fatal accidents involving pilgrims and decided to document their wealth.
According to the ACB, the diary entry lists several major properties. These include a G+2 building with a penthouse in Telecom Nagar, Gachibowli, which was to be temporarily transferred to a close relative, and two flats in Tellapur allegedly held in the name of a watchman. It also listed a share in a G+5 commercial complex on Lanco Hills Road in Manikonda.
The diary also detailed significant benami holdings, including 45 acres of land in Zaheerabad and adjoining areas of Karnataka held in the name of a former home guard. Other listed properties include two acres of agricultural land in Mominpet in Vikarabad district, 4.2 acres in Muchintal, a Rs 2 crore business investment, and Rs 60 lakh earmarked for a villa.
The ACB has seized four mobile phones belonging to Bheem Reddy, which allegedly contain photos of the diary pages. Investigators also recovered title documents during searches at Bheem Reddy's villa in the Vessella Meadows gated community at Ibrahim Bagh, Narsingi, and at his business partner’s residence in Manikonda.
The ACB has recorded a video statement from the business partner regarding his transactions with Bheem Reddy. The agency plans to summon the alleged benamis and mediators named in the diary to record their statements, as well as Bheem Reddy's family members.
