Phenom to Expand India Footprint, Add Over 2,000 Jobs in Telangana

Global Applied AI company Phenom has announced plans to expand its operations in India, creating more than 2,000 jobs in the coming years and increasing its presence in Telangana.

The human resources technology firm, which is based in Greater Philadelphia in the United States, maintains its primary Indian operations in Hyderabad, alongside centres in Visakhapatnam and Bengaluru. The planned expansion will involve investments in technology, talent, and innovation across multiple functions, including engineering, product development, data science, customer success, and support.

Mahe Bayireddi, chief executive officer and co-founder of Phenom, stated that India’s technology talent and ambition make the country central to the future of work. He noted that organisations must shift from experimental artificial intelligence deployments to measurable transformation, utilising automation and intelligence to redesign workflows while keeping people at the centre of processes.

Phenom's platform utilises engines, ontologies, explainable AI, and agents to support enterprise functions such as recruiting, scheduling, talent marketplaces, career pathing, mentoring, and referrals. The system is designed with an emphasis on security, compliance, and explainability.

Founded in 2010, the company serves more than 500 enterprises worldwide across multiple sectors, including technology, healthcare, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, transportation, finance, energy, and utilities. Beyond its presence in the United States and India, Phenom operates internationally across Canada, Israel, the Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
