Pahadishareef Police Arrest Man for Rape and Murder of Nurse in Thukkuguda

The Pahadishareef police have arrested a 34-year-old bike mechanic in connection with the alleged rape and murder of a 21-year-old nurse in her hostel room in Thukkuguda on Sunday.

The accused has been identified by police as Md Sanaullah. According to investigators, Sanaullah gained entry into the victim’s hostel room through a ventilator to assault her.

When the victim resisted his advances and raised an alarm, the accused allegedly smothered and strangled her. Sanaullah attacked her with a hammer, leaving her with severe bleeding injuries across her face. After the assault, the accused escaped the room through the same ventilator.

Following the incident, the deceased woman's family members and BJP leaders staged a protest, demanding justice for the family and an encounter of the accused.
