P Harshit Wins Brilliant Trophy Online Chess Tournament in Hyderabad

P. Harshit won the Brilliant Trophy online chess tournament in Hyderabad on Tuesday after securing the top title on a tie-break rule. Harshit finished level with Leeladitya, with both players scoring 11 points out of 12 rounds in the competition.

Bhavyesh Balaji claimed third place overall in the tournament after finishing with 10 points out of 12 rounds.

The final placings in the top 10 featured P. Harshit in first place, followed by Leeladitya Vardhan in second and Bhavyesh Balajireddy in third. Bavasamavart secured fourth place, K. Harshavardhan finished fifth, and Preran took sixth place. The top 10 was rounded out by Tamizh Amudhan Yugender in seventh, Soham Srinath Chikhalkar in eighth, Arshitha Munipally in ninth, and Sambhavi Dayal in tenth place.

The tournament also featured competitions across several age categories for boys and girls. In the boys' events, Sai Prashul won the Under-15 category ahead of runner-up Suryaansh Suryawanshi. Saujas Srihari took first place in the Under-13 division ahead of R. Sai Nigam. The Under-11 title went to Arsh Mahajan, with G. Advithiya in second. Mohammed Sahir Ahmed secured top spot in the Under-9 category followed by Aadidev Pandey, while M. Hemanshu placed first in the Under-7 division ahead of Riddhesh Srikanth Kulkarni.

In the girls' categories, Sri Lasya Tummapudi won the Under-15 title. Shanmukha Sai Sreshta claimed first place in the Under-13 category ahead of Gurrapu Aadhya, and K. Kartheeka secured top honors in the Under-11 division.
