Owaisi Urges Youth to Shun Drugs, Demands Anti-Murder Squad at Darussalam Meet

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi urged young people to stay away from drugs and offered personal support to those struggling with addiction during an address at the party headquarters in Darussalam, Hyderabad.

Speaking at the grand Jalsa-e-Rahmatul-lil-Alameen gathering, Owaisi shared personal anecdotes, stating that he quit smoking because of his wife and left hookah due to his devotional path. He urged anyone dealing with substance abuse to reach out directly to him for assistance in getting admitted to de-addiction centres, emphasising that their lives and futures are precious.

Addressing administrative matters, Owaisi told citizens not to panic if they receive Special Intensive Revision (SIR) – 2026 notices. He assured the public that individuals whose names appear under 'anomalies' should not feel distressed, adding that Majlis party workers are available to assist them throughout the entire verification process.

Turning to law and order, the Hyderabad MP called on the state government to constitute a dedicated anti-murder squad to prevent and investigate killings across Hyderabad City. He stated that trials in murder cases must be concluded within one year to ensure speedy justice for victims and their families.

Owaisi also urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to approach Telangana High Court Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh to request the establishment of special courts dedicated to the expedited trial of murder cases.
