Over 400 Medical Experts Attend IPACON 2026 on Diabetic Foot Care in Hyderabad

IPACON 2026, a major national congress dedicated to diabetic foot care and limb salvage, commenced in Hyderabad on Saturday. The two-day conference was organised by the Indian Podiatry Association (IPA) in association with the Indian Podiatry Association – Telangana Chapter, bringing together healthcare specialists to deliberate on clinical advances and limb preservation.

More than 400 delegates from across India and abroad are participating in the event. The attendees represent multiple medical specialisations, including diabetologists, endocrinologists, vascular and orthopaedic surgeons, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, infectious disease specialists, wound-care and rehabilitation professionals, podiatrists, foot-care specialists, researchers, academicians, students, and allied healthcare professionals.

Organised around the theme 'Redefining Diabetic Foot Care Through Prevention, Preservation and Regeneration,' the conference features over 50 faculty members across 30 scientific sessions. The scheduled sessions serve as a collaborative platform for clinicians and researchers to exchange evidence-based practices, research developments, and emerging medical technologies in the management of diabetic foot conditions.

Key medical leaders and delegates attended the proceedings, including Dr. Gudugani Shridhar, Vice-Chairman of the Telangana State Medical Council, and Dr. A.P.S. Suri, Founder and National President of the Indian Podiatry Association.

Other notable participants included Dr. K.V.N.N. Santosh Murthy, State President of the IPA – Telangana Chapter; Dr. Reginold D. Lam, State Secretary of the IPA – Telangana Chapter; Dr. David B. Alper, Member of the Board of Trustees at the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), USA; and Dr. Gyaneshwar Atturu, Vascular Endovascular Surgeon at Medicover Hospitals.
