Over 26,100 Homes Sold in Hyderabad in First Half of 2026, Says CREDAI

Hyderabad recorded the sale of more than 26,100 homes during the first half of 2026, according to data released by CREDAI Hyderabad at the Hitex Exhibition Centre. The figures were announced during the inauguration of the three-day CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026.

Organised under the theme 'Rate Aagadhu, Demand Thaggadhu', the property exhibition runs until August 30 and features more than 300 RERA-approved residential projects from over 60 real estate developers.

Speaking at the event, CREDAI Hyderabad president-elect B. Jagannath Rao stated that the homes sold during the first half of the calendar year represented nearly 60 million square feet of super built-up area. This volume positioned Hyderabad as the leading market in India in terms of residential space absorption. The average size of homes sold stood at approximately 2,300 square feet, while the average ticket price rose by 10 percent year-on-year to reach ₹2.03 crore.

Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju inaugurated the property show and highlighted the role of real estate and property development in driving the state's economic progress. He stated that the state government remains committed to fostering an environment that encourages transparent, reliable, and high-quality development, expressing confidence that the sector will continue to drive investment and economic expansion across Telangana.

During the event, CREDAI Hyderabad president N. Jaideep Reddy raised industry concerns and sought state government intervention on specific regulatory matters. He addressed the 10 percent building permit mortgage requirement and NALA-linked processes, proposing either a complete removal of the mortgage requirement in light of existing RERA provisions or a reduction of the mortgage rate to 5 percent to free up working capital for developers. The association also requested clearer procedures to allow developers to pay NALA charges directly through the building approval process.
