One Worker Dead, Several Injured in Boiler Accident in Genome Valley

One worker died and several others sustained injuries following a boiler-related accident at the Sai Life Sciences facility in the Genome Valley area of Hyderabad.

The injured personnel were moved to medical facilities to receive treatment following the incident.

Director of Factories Mohan Rao confirmed the fatality and stated that the deceased worker was from Maharashtra. He added that the condition of the injured workers is being actively monitored while they undergo medical care.

Regulatory authorities have launched an official inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the industrial accident. The probe is assessing safety measures and compliance with prescribed operational standards at the site.

“We have inspected the premises. A notice has been issued to the company seeking details on the cause of the accident and safety protocols in place,” Mohan Rao said.

Meanwhile, the Genome Valley police stated that no police case had been registered in connection with the incident.
