Octave Intelligence Opens 2 Lakh Sq Ft Global Tech Centre in Hyderabad

Nasdaq-listed Octave Intelligence plc inaugurated its global technology and innovation centre in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The 2 lakh square foot facility was opened by Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu alongside Octave Chief Executive Officer Mattias Stenberg.

The new facility will serve as a key global technology and innovation hub for the company. Teams based at the centre will work across software engineering, artificial intelligence, data, cloud computing, product development, and other advanced technology domains. The centre includes a dedicated experience centre and will develop solutions for international clients, particularly in industries where complex assets and infrastructure demand real-time intelligence and data-driven decision-making.

Speaking at the launch, Minister Sridhar Babu stated that Octave has commenced operations at the centre with 1,600 employees and plans to increase its headcount to 2,000 in the coming years. He noted that Hyderabad is increasingly becoming the preferred destination for multinational corporations looking to set up their first global capability centres (GCCs) and expand into India, supported by the city's deep engineering talent pool, specialised technical expertise, and stable operating ecosystem.

Sridhar Babu added that Telangana welcomed 75 new GCCs over the past year and is actively targeting the addition of 100 more by next year. He highlighted that over the last two years, the capabilities developed within the state's GCC ecosystem have grown significantly in diversity and technological sophistication across various sectors.

Octave CEO Mattias Stenberg described the Hyderabad centre as an exceptional location to drive the company's next phase of global growth. Octave was established following the 2025 spin-off of Hexagon AB's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence as well as its Safety, Infrastructure and Geospatial divisions. The company currently employs approximately 7,200 people across 45 countries.
