Nurse Papithotti Jessica Stabbed to Death by Husband in Chilkanagar

A 37-year-old nurse was stabbed to death by her husband following a domestic dispute at their residence in Adarshnagar in Chilkanagar on Friday evening. The attack occurred after the accused allegedly suspected his wife of infidelity because she spent nights at a hospital caring for her ailing mother.
According to Uppal sub-inspector Ch Vinay, the deceased was identified as Papithotti Jessica, who worked as a nurse. Jessica had been married to the accused, 41-year-old Suresh, since 2015. The couple shared a daughter.
The investigation was initiated following a complaint lodged by Jessica's younger brother. Family members informed the police that the couple had a history of frequent marital disputes. Despite these regular conflicts, they would repeatedly reconcile and continue living together.
The police revealed that Jessica had been staying at Gandhi Hospital since June 28 to care for her ailing mother, who had been admitted there for medical treatment. The complainant alleged that Suresh grew highly suspicious of his wife after she began spending nights at the hospital.
Suresh allegedly suspected Jessica of infidelity and subjected her to mental harassment, which led to several fights between the couple.
According to the police, the tension culminated in a final argument that broke out between the couple at their residence in Adarshnagar around 4:00 PM on July 3. The dispute escalated, resulting in Jessica being stabbed to death.
Sub-inspector Ch Vinay stated that the police had no record of previous disputes between the couple. "He suspected her of infidelity and mentally harassed her. They had several fights. But we had not received any police complaints before this. We have not found any complaint history so far," the sub-inspector said.
The police are currently investigating the murder.
