Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre Hosts Mango Medley Brunch

The Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre (NHCC) hosted a vibrant Mango Medley Brunch last weekend, bringing together families and food enthusiasts for a major culinary celebration of the "king of fruits." The event transformed mangoes into the star ingredient across an array of global and Indian dishes, accompanied by live music and interactive activities.

The weekend event went beyond a traditional seasonal buffet by offering engaging social experiences. Attendees participated in interactive activities such as Mango Mixing, where guests prepared their own pickle mix, and Mango Stomping, which emerged as a crowd favorite. Live entertainment accompanied the dining experience throughout the day.

Culinary chefs at the convention centre showcased the versatility of the fruit starting with a selection of refreshing salads. The menu featured a Chicken Mango Avocado Salad that balanced chicken with avocado and sweet mango, alongside a tangy Mexican Mango Salad. Guests also sampled the Tender Mango Tabbouleh with Spring Radish and a Saffron Mango Couscous Salad, where saffron was used to add depth to the fruit's sweetness.

The appetizer and hot dish selections further demonstrated the fruit's adaptability. The chefs prepared crisp Couscous Mango Cheese Croquettes and a Mango Hummus, which offered a fruit-infused take on the classic Middle Eastern dip. Among the main hot dishes, the Classical Derby Chicken with Mango Thyme Jus stood out, pairing tender chicken with a silky jus infused with mango and thyme.

Dessert options featured a wide range of traditional Indian sweets and international treats. Local and national Indian sweets received a seasonal makeover, featuring Mango Malai Chaap, Mango Kesar Peda, Suji Mango Halwa, Mango Ghevar, and an inventive Rasmalai Raseela Aam Taco.

International dessert offerings ranged from Choco Mango Panna Cotta and Japanese Mango Cheesecake to Mangomisu and Coconut Mango Sticky Rice. The chefs also paid tribute to local Hyderabad culture by serving an Irani Chai Mango Petit, alongside scoops of Mango Ice Cream served inside mango shells.
