NMDC Hyderabad Marathon Set to Finish at Gachibowli Stadium

HYDERABAD — Thousands of runners are taking to the streets on Sunday for the 15th edition of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon, with all race categories culminating at Gachibowli Stadium.
The annual event features full marathon, half marathon, and 10K categories connecting major landmarks across the city to the sports complex in Gachibowli.
The full marathon began at 4:30 a.m. from People’s Plaza on Necklace Road, followed by the half marathon flag-off at 5:30 a.m. from the same venue. Both routes take participants past Hussainsagar, Raj Bhavan Road, KBR Park, Jubilee Hills Road No. 45, the Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge, Biodiversity Junction, and the University of Hyderabad before reaching the finish line at Gachibowli Stadium.
The 10K run was scheduled to start separately from the HITEX Exhibition Centre at 7:15 a.m. Runners on the 10K course merge with the main marathon route near IKEA Circle and continue onward to the finish line at Gachibowli Stadium.
Several senior officials and dignitaries were scheduled to flag off the different race categories. Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar and NMDC Director (Personnel) Krishna Kumar Thakur, along with other officials, were assigned to flag off the full marathon at People's Plaza.
GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan, alongside representatives from NMDC, IDFC FIRST Bank, and Hyderabad Runners, was scheduled to flag off the half marathon.
The 10K run from HITEX was scheduled to be flagged off by Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Ramesh, CMC Commissioner G Srijana, NMDC Director (Technical) Vinay Kumar, and representatives of IDFC FIRST Bank and Hyderabad Runners.
Organisers have scheduled the prize distribution ceremony to take place at 9:00 a.m. following the conclusion of the races.
