Nizamabad Woman Arrested After Killing Husband With Toilet Cleaner Injection

Police in the Nizamabad district of Telangana arrested a 32-year-old woman, her lover, and another accomplice for allegedly murdering her husband by injecting toilet cleaner into his medical cannula. The incident occurred between June 29 and June 30, following a failed initial attempt to kill the victim by pushing him off a terrace.

The victim, 35-year-old Prasanth, worked in a Gulf country and had returned home. According to the police, his wife, Sandhya, conspired with her lover, 35-year-old Anil, to eliminate Prasanth because they viewed him as an obstacle to their ongoing affair. They enlisted the help of an acquaintance, Venkata Sai, to execute the plan.

On June 29, Venkata Sai visited Prasanth at his residence and encouraged him to consume a large quantity of liquor. Once Prasanth was intoxicated, Sai took him to the building's terrace and pushed him off, acting on instructions Sandhya provided over a phone call.

Prasanth survived the fall but suffered severe injuries. Sandhya and Sai initially rushed him to a government hospital for emergency medical treatment. They later shifted him to a private hospital before eventually bringing him back home to recover.

While Prasanth was recovering at home with a medical cannula in place, Sandhya acted on further encouragement from Anil. She injected toilet cleaner and an anaesthetic medicine directly into Prasanth's cannula. Sandhya also pushed Prasanth down from his cot, which led to his death on June 30.

The crime came to light after Prasanth's mother filed a police complaint on July 1. She told officers that she had only learned of her son's death on June 30 and was entirely unaware of his return from the Gulf or the events leading to his demise. Expressing deep suspicion over the mysterious circumstances, she prompted a police investigation.

Using technical evidence, investigators uncovered the conspiracy. Sandhya, Anil, and Venkata Sai voluntarily confessed to the crime during questioning. Police subsequently arrested all three individuals and produced them before a local court, which remanded them to jail.
