Nizamabad Karate Master Edla Venkatesh Secures 5th Dan Black Belt

Karate master Edla Venkatesh of Nizamabad has secured the 5th Dan Black Belt in martial arts, marking a significant milestone in his sporting career.

Venkatesh, who is an international Bruce Lee Award recipient and a Guinness World Record UK Gold Medallist, earned the 5th Dan Confirmation Degree during an official examination conducted by Grand Master S. Srinivasan of Okinawa Martial Arts and Japan Karate Shoto-Kai India.

During the assessment, Venkatesh demonstrated his expertise in the 5th Dan Kata and Sparring examination. Organisers noted that he is among the youngest karate masters across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh under the Okinawa Martial Arts Academy to reach the rank of 5th Dan Black Belt.

Following the successful completion of the test, Grand Master Srinivasan conducted advanced training sessions for Venkatesh, focusing on key martial arts Katas. Srinivasan also commended Venkatesh for his dedicated contribution to martial arts, highlighting his track record of delivering disciplined and high-quality karate coaching in Nizamabad over the past 25 years.

Expressing gratitude to his Grand Master, Venkatesh stated that his primary ambition is to continue training local talent and make Nizamabad district the leading centre for karate in Telangana.
