Nitin Nabin Urges BJP Cadre to Make Telangana Congress-mukt Through Grassroots Strength

On Tuesday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Nabin called on the party cadre to build grassroots organizational strength to make Telangana 'Congress-mukt' during a state executive meeting held on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

Speaking on the final day of his three-day visit to the state, Nabin emphasized that the BJP's path to power lies in its own organizational strength rather than merely capitalising on the shortcomings of the ruling Congress government.

Addressing the Telangana BJP state executive meeting, Nabin urged party workers to become the "voice of the people" and work to realize the aspirations of Telangana. He stated that the party's mission extends beyond simply winning power, explaining that it is deeply rooted in fulfilling the dreams of the local people and honoring the sacrifices made by generations of karyakartas (party workers).

During his speech, Nabin strongly emphasized the need for organizational discipline. He cautioned the assembled workers against depending on the central party leadership in Delhi for every single direction. Nabin stated that instructions and political momentum cannot solely come from Delhi, but must instead percolate down from the state level to the districts, from the districts to the mandals, and from the mandals to the individual booths. He stressed that the booth remains the party's strongest organizational unit.

To motivate the cadre, Nabin drew a direct comparison with the political situation in Chhattisgarh, where the BJP successfully unseated the Congress government. He noted that many people had once considered such an outcome to be impossible in that state. According to Nabin, it was the dedicated karyakartas who took up the political fight on the ground and ensured the defeat of what he described as an "anarchic Congress govt."

Nabin concluded by stating that Telangana's party workers could achieve a similar successful result. He urged them to commit to sustained public outreach and strong organizational mobilization across the state to unseat the current government.
