Nalgonda Police Arrest Four After Man Kills Aunt and Three Family Members

The Nalgonda police have arrested four people, including a Hyderabad-based car driver, in connection with the murder of four family members in Nalgonda district. The crime, which was discovered on June 22 after neighbours complained of a foul smell, was allegedly executed by a close relative to steal money and gold, and to seek revenge.
The prime accused, Syed Aslam, allegedly planned the murders by watching online videos. According to the police, Aslam was facing severe financial difficulties due to his lavish lifestyle and outstanding loans. He had previously borrowed Rs 1 lakh from his wife's aunt, Haseena.
Haseena lived with her husband and his two children from a previous marriage. When Aslam recently approached her for another loan of Rs 1 lakh to buy a new car, she refused and mocked him for failing to pay interest on his earlier debt.
Aslam's wife, Tabassum, also held a grudge against Haseena because Haseena's first husband had previously lodged a police complaint against Tabassum's mother. Police stated that Tabassum encouraged Aslam to target Haseena's house for theft.
In the early hours of June 19, Aslam entered Haseena's house and stabbed her to death with a knife. He then attacked and killed Haseena's husband and his two children, aged 20 and 12. The police release noted that Aslam killed the 12-year-old girl, who was hiding under a cot, to eliminate any witnesses.
Following the killings, Aslam stole gold ornaments, land documents, and bank papers from the house. He fled to Hyderabad, where he pledged the stolen valuables with a jeweller for Rs 5.30 lakh with the assistance of a friend.
The police subsequently arrested Aslam, his wife Tabassum, the friend who helped him mortgage the stolen items, and the jeweller who accepted the stolen goods.
