Nagarkurnool woman and relatives detained for murder of 54-year-old husband

A 54-year-old labourer, Yadaiah, was murdered by his wife, daughter, and son-in-law in Avancha village of Timmajipet mandal in Nagarkurnool district. The crime, which was initially covered up as a natural death due to health issues, was uncovered when relatives noticed injury marks on the victim's body during his funeral rites. The local police have detained the victim's wife, A Alluvelu, his son-in-law, B Anjaneyulu, and his daughter, Padma, in connection with the murder.
According to the police, the murder was motivated by an illicit relationship between Alluvelu and her son-in-law, Anjaneyulu, who works as a mason. Yadaiah had objected to their relationship and had been asking his wife to mend her ways and maintain distance from Anjaneyulu for the past few months. This led to frequent quarrels between the couple.
As pressure from Yadaiah mounted, Alluvelu allegedly decided to eliminate him and discussed the plan with Anjaneyulu. On the day of the incident, Anjaneyulu went to Yadaiah’s house after being informed about a dispute between the couple.
During the confrontation, Anjaneyulu overpowered Yadaiah, while Alluvelu attacked him with an iron rod and targeted his private parts, causing instant death. The victim's daughter, Padma, also assisted the duo in committing the crime.
Following the murder, Anjaneyulu and Padma left the house. Alluvelu then informed other family members that Yadaiah had died due to health issues. The cover-up succeeded until the performance of the last rites, when relatives spotted suspicious injuries on Yadaiah's body.
Yadaiah’s nephew, G Parasuramulu, noticed the marks and immediately alerted the Timmajipet police. Officers rushed to the scene, stopped the rituals, and shifted the body to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination.
During police interrogation, Alluvelu admitted to the crime. Locals also reported seeing Anjaneyulu loitering near Yadaiah’s house on the day of the murder. Nagarkurnool Circle Inspector Y Ashok Reddy stated that the murder was a result of the illicit relationship as well as Yadaiah’s refusal to transfer his 1.5-acre agricultural land to his son-in-law's name.
