Muradnagar Gutkha Unit Busted in Hyderabad; Three Held, Rs 50 Lakh Goods Seized

The Task Force (Golconda Zone) and Asifnagar police busted an alleged illegal gutkha and tobacco manufacturing unit operating in Muradnagar, Hyderabad. Police seized raw materials, finished products, and machinery valued at approximately Rs 50 lakh during the raid.
Three workers present at the facility were taken into custody by the joint enforcement team. Police also rescued two children who were allegedly employed at the illegal manufacturing setup.
A search of the Muradnagar premises uncovered large quantities of ready-mixed gutkha and zarda. Officers also located and confiscated substantial reserves of raw tobacco used in the production process.
Along with the tobacco stock, authorities seized industrial machinery used to process the materials. Significant quantities of packing material and packing rolls intended for packaging the finished gutkha packets were also confiscated.
Police stated that the illegal manufacturing unit was being operated by two men identified as Zubair and Muzzaffer alias Dada. Both operators were absconding at the time of the operation.
