Mumbai Dreamers beat Hyderabad Heroes 12-10 in Gachibowli rugby clash

The Mumbai Dreamers extended their unbeaten run to five matches in the Rugby Premier League Season 2 after defeating hosts Hyderabad Heroes 12–10 at the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, on Sunday, June 21, 2026. In the other fixture of the day, the Bengaluru Bravehearts secured a comprehensive victory over the Chennai Bulls at the same venue.

The matches, held on the sixth day of the HSBC Rugby Premier League powered by Avid Season 2, featured high-intensity action from some of the league's top teams.

The top-of-the-table clash between the Mumbai Dreamers and the Hyderabad Heroes began at a high tempo, with both sides matching each other's intensity. Diego Ardao gave the Heroes the lead late in the first quarter. Guillaume Bouche responded for the Dreamers in a tightly contested second period to level the scores.

A strong defensive display from Mumbai kept the game finely balanced through the third quarter. Ardao struck again early in the final period to restore Hyderabad's advantage. However, a late try from Lucas Mignot in extra time helped the Dreamers snatch a 12-10 victory and preserve their unbeaten run of five matches, which is currently the longest in the league.

In the other Sunday fixture, the Bengaluru Bravehearts secured a dominant win over the Chennai Bulls. The Bravehearts made a bright start as Jonas Mikalcius opened the scoring on the left wing.

The Chennai Bulls responded in first-quarter stoppage time through Santiago Alvarez, before Marcus Kershaw scored to give the Bulls the lead.

In the third quarter, Ryan Apps levelled the contest for Bengaluru with his immense pace. Sustained pressure from the Bravehearts allowed Ganesh Majhi to put Bengaluru back in front. Apps added his second try of the match early in the final quarter, and Devendra Padir crossed over late to seal the victory as the Bravehearts controlled possession.
