Motorcyclist Killed and Law Student Injured in Khajaguda Hit-and-Run Incident

An unidentified 30-year-old motorcyclist died and a 22-year-old law student sustained severe injuries in a hit-and-run incident near Khajaguda, located half a kilometre from the Outer Ring Road under the Raidurgam police station limits. The injured student was shifted to a corporate hospital in Gachibowli, where he remains in critical condition.

According to the police, the sequence of events began when the law student, identified as Quadri Shah, a resident of Shaikpet, initially struck the motorcyclist with his car. After seeing that the motorcyclist was injured, Shah stopped his vehicle, parked it on the roadside, and went to provide assistance.

Shah, with the help of other passing motorists, attempted to help the injured motorcyclist cross the road to reach a private hospital located on the opposite side. While they were crossing the stretch, two speeding SUVs passed through and struck them.

As a result of the secondary impact, the motorcyclist, who had already suffered injuries, died on the spot. Shah survived the collision but sustained serious injuries.

Following the incident, Shah was admitted to a corporate hospital in Gachibowli for urgent medical treatment, where his condition is reported to be critical. The body of the deceased motorcyclist was shifted and preserved at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for identification and post-mortem examination.

Police officials stated that it is not yet clear which of the two SUVs struck the victims while they were crossing the road. Investigators are examining surveillance camera footage from cameras positioned near the scene to trace and identify the vehicle. Police added that the deceased man was wearing a black T-shirt and blue boxer shorts.

As the investigation continues, rumours have emerged suggesting that the son of an art director from the Telugu film industry was allegedly involved in the accident. However, authorities stated that there has been no official confirmation regarding those claims.
