Moosapet woman killed as college bus runs over two-wheeler in Kukatpally

A 50-year-old woman from Moosapet was killed instantly on Wednesday morning, July 1, 2026, after an MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT) college bus ran over her two-wheeler in front of the Kukatpally Police Station in Hyderabad.

The victim was identified as Lakshmi, a resident of the Moosapet area. Lakshmi was employed at a hotel located in Ameenpur and was commuting to her workplace when the fatal incident occurred.

According to the available information, Lakshmi was riding her motorcycle when the private college bus collided with her two-wheeler. The impact of the collision caused her to lose balance and fall onto the road. The MLRIT college bus then ran over her, resulting in her death on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the tragic road accident, personnel from the Kukatpally Police Station rushed to the scene. The police officers shifted Lakshmi's body for an autopsy.

The Kukatpally Police have registered a case regarding the incident. Officers are currently conducting inquiries to investigate the matter and are yet to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
