MMC Commissioner Inspects Saroornagar Lake to Review Mosquito-Control Measures

Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) Commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy inspected Saroornagar Lake in Hyderabad alongside concerned officials to review ongoing maintenance and mosquito-control measures.

During the inspection, the progress of water hyacinth removal from the water body was reviewed. Commissioner Reddy issued directions to expedite the clearance work to eliminate potential mosquito breeding points across the lake.

Officials were also instructed to conduct regular Anti-Larval Operations (ALO) and carry out need-based fogging in the areas surrounding the lake.

Emphasising the importance of public health, the Commissioner stressed the need for continuous monitoring and coordinated action among departments to keep the lake surroundings clean and effectively curb mosquito breeding.
