MMC clears illegal structures along Dilsukhnagar service road to ease traffic

Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) authorities have carried out an encroachment removal drive to clear illegal structures along the service road in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad. The civic operation targeted the busy stretch of the road extending from the Sai Baba Temple to Megha Theatre and Venkatadri Theatre.
The enforcement drive was closely monitored by the MMC Commissioner, who conducted field visits to review the progress of the clearance operations at key points along the route. The active supervision of the Commissioner was aimed at ensuring that the unauthorized structures were dismantled systematically.
According to officials from the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation, the primary objective of the drive was to remove unauthorized encroachments that had occupied public space along the busy corridor. These illegal setups had been causing significant disruptions to the local transport network.
By clearing the unauthorized structures, the MMC aims to ease traffic congestion, improve pedestrian accessibility, and ensure the smooth movement of vehicles along the Dilsukhnagar service road. The corridor is known to be a highly active zone, making the clearance essential for public safety and convenience.
Civic officials emphasized that the initiative is part of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation's broader, ongoing efforts to maintain safe, clean, and obstruction-free public spaces across the city. The corporation remains focused on keeping key roads free from illegal occupations to facilitate better civic amenities for residents.
