MLR Institute of Technology Wins Four Awards at CSI Annual Excellence Awards 2026

HYDERABAD — The MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT) in Hyderabad secured four prestigious honours at the Computer Society of India (CSI) Annual Excellence Awards 2026 on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The institution was recognised for its continued commitment to promoting professional society activities, with awards spanning management support, student branch counselling, and student volunteering.
The Best CSI Supporting Management Award was presented to Marri Anushreya Reddy, the Secretary of MLRIT, for her outstanding support in promoting CSI activities. Accepting the award, Anushreya Reddy expressed her gratitude to the CSI for the recognition and stated that the college management would continue extending its full support to CSI initiatives in the years to come.
Additionally, Dr. K Sai Prasad, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of CSE (AI & ML), was honoured with the Best Student Branch Counselor Award. The accolade was presented in recognition of his guidance and dedicated efforts in strengthening the CSI Student Branch at the campus.
In the student categories, fourth-year Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students M Sneha and Poojya Kavuru bagged the Outstanding Student Volunteer Award. The awards ceremony also highlighted the collaboration between the institution and the association, as MLRIT, in association with CSI, successfully hosted the "50K AI Ready Students" event.
Congratulating the awardees, MLRIT Founder Secretary and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekar Reddy noted that the institute has received the CSI Annual Excellence Awards for the fifth time, which he said reflects its sustained excellence in promoting professional society activities.
MLRIT Chairman Marri Laxman Reddy, Vice Chairman Marri Dhiren Reddy, and Director Dr. V Radhika Devi also extended their congratulations to all the award recipients for bringing laurels to the institution.
