Miyapur Woman Arrested for Alleged Murder of Husband Venkatesh

The Miyapur Police in Hyderabad have arrested a woman for allegedly conspiring with her lover to murder her 45-year-old husband, Venkatesh, and burying his body near the Maharashtra border. The arrest, which occurred in July 2026, followed a detailed investigation that began after the woman initially reported her husband missing nearly seven months earlier.

The case was first registered as a missing person complaint by the Miyapur Police in November 2025, after the suspect woman approached the authorities claiming her husband had disappeared.

However, the case took a dramatic turn when investigation officials recently uncovered evidence pointing directly to the wife’s involvement in the crime.

As part of their investigation, police officials examined the suspect woman’s call records and analyzed local CCTV footage. This evidence allegedly revealed that the woman and her lover had actively conspired to kill Venkatesh.

According to the police, the duo then transported Venkatesh's body to the Maharashtra border, where they buried it in an attempt to conceal the crime.

Following the discovery of the conspiracy, the Miyapur police coordinated with local police authorities in Maharashtra. Together, the police teams exhumed the buried body, which was later identified as that of the 45-year-old Venkatesh.

During subsequent questioning by the police, the suspect woman reportedly confessed to the murder. She told investigators that her husband had become an obstacle to her relationship with her lover.

While the Miyapur police have taken the woman into custody, her lover and alleged accomplice remains absconding. Police officials stated that efforts are currently underway to trace and arrest the fleeing suspect.

At this stage, the police have yet to officially announce further specific details regarding the case.
