Miyapur Police Arrest Habitual Burglar Bhukya Mahesh Linked to 12 Cases

The Miyapur police have arrested a habitual offender, Bhukya Mahesh alias Babu, in connection with multiple house burglaries and thefts across Miyapur, Kukatpally, and neighboring areas. The arrest, reported on July 1, 2026, followed an official investigation into a house burglary complaint filed within the Miyapur police jurisdiction, which covers parts of the Cyberabad and Malkajgiri commissionerates.
According to law enforcement authorities, Mahesh has built an extensive criminal record over time. He is currently linked to at least 12 active cases registered across several police stations in the region. These stations include Kukatpally, KPHB, Miyapur, SR Nagar, Balanagar, and Keesara. The charges against him span multiple instances of house burglary, theft, and various other criminal offenses.
Police officers detailed the modus operandi used by the accused during his alleged crime spree. Investigators stated that Mahesh specifically targeted residential properties that were locked during the night. He allegedly broke open the locks of these homes to gain entry and commit thefts. These incidents took place when the residents of the targeted homes were either sleeping inside or away from their properties.
