Ministers and Leaders Unfurl Tricolour Across Six Telangana Districts on Independence Day

Ministers and public representatives unfurled the National Flag across six district headquarters on Saturday to mark the 80th Independence Day, holding events at key venues including the Police Parade Grounds in Hanamkonda and Tangedu Maidan in Mulugu.
Celebrations were organised across the district headquarters of Hanamkonda, Warangal, Mulugu, Jangaon, Mahabubabad, and Jayashankar Bhupalapalli. Dignitaries paid tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters, inspected parades, and watched cultural performances by students alongside tableaux presented by government departments.
In Hanamkonda, Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy served as the chief guest at the Police Parade Grounds. After unfurling the Tricolour and receiving the ceremonial salute from the police, he addressed the gathering and noted that the state government was prioritising public welfare and development. Freedom fighters and their families were felicitated, and appreciation certificates were distributed to government employees for exceptional service.
In Warangal, Forest, Environment, and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha unfurled the flag at the district headquarters. In her address, she highlighted the government's housing initiatives for the poor under the Indiramma housing scheme, as well as programmes in irrigation, education, healthcare, rural development, and women's empowerment. She also noted major infrastructure projects, including the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, the Warangal airport, a modern bus station, and the Inner Ring Road.
In Mulugu, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka hoisted the National Flag at Tangedu Maidan. She presented the district's progress report and stated that the administration was working to ensure welfare schemes reached every household. Outstanding employees received appreciation certificates, and freedom fighters were honoured.
Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah participated in the celebrations and unfurled the flag at the Jangaon district headquarters, where government departments displayed tableaux of development programmes. Government Whip Dr Jatothu Ramchander Naik led the event in Mahabubabad, while Government Whip Ennam Srinivas Reddy attended the programme in Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, where leaders highlighted progress in agriculture, education, infrastructure, healthcare, and tribal development.
