Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy Distributes Free School Bags in Chegunta

Minister for Labour and Employment Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy distributed free school bags to students at the Government High School in Chegunta, Medak district. Addressing a gathering of students, teachers, and parents, the Minister encouraged the children to set ambitious goals, remain disciplined, and work hard to reach the highest positions in the country.
The distribution program was organized by Sureify School Kits. During his address, Dr. Vivek highlighted that government schools now provide students with opportunities to compete on a global stage, noting that rural students are increasingly securing admissions into prestigious institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), medical colleges, and engineering institutions.
He commended the teaching staff at the Chegunta Government High School for their commitment, specifically pointing out that the school recently produced two students who secured admission into IIIT. He urged every student to set a clear goal, whether becoming a doctor, IAS officer, or engineer, and to work relentlessly toward it.
Responding to a long-pending demand of the local residents of Chegunta, Dr. Vivek assured the gathering that he would take up a proposal to establish a Government Degree College in the town with the State Government and make every effort to secure its approval.
The Minister emphasized the Telangana government's priority to strengthen infrastructure in government schools. He praised the collaborative efforts of the government, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and voluntary organizations. Specifically, he lauded the Sankalp Foundation for its contribution to education and its commitment to assisting students who aspire to pursue higher education.
Dr. Vivek shared that his own commitment to giving back to society was inspired by his late father, G. Venkataswamy. He mentioned that after achieving business success, he began supporting government schools across the Peddapalli Parliamentary constituency by providing furniture and improving infrastructure.
Additionally, the Minister spoke on the importance of skill development in the era of artificial intelligence. He stated that the State Government is establishing Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs) to equip youth with industry-relevant skills, and is providing foreign language training and employment opportunities through the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM).
