Milad-un-Nabi Procession Reaches Charminar Peacefully Under Heavy Security

The annual central Milad-un-Nabi procession proceeded peacefully and reached Charminar from the historic Mecca Masjid at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, under the watch of extensive security deployments across Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar stated that the proceedings of the central procession remained peaceful. Extending his greetings to the public on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, Mr. Sajjanar described Prophet Mohammad as a “messenger of peace.”

To ensure safety and manage the movement of the procession, approximately 2,000 personnel were stationed throughout the city. The deployment comprised members from the Rapid Action Force, law and order police, traffic police units, the Task Force, and SHE Teams to actively monitor how the procession unfolded.

The police worked in close coordination with the Markazi Milad Juloos Committee to manage the event and oversee the passage of participants along the designated route.

Mr. Sajjanar highlighted that security personnel maintained particular vigilance against instances of rash riding and stunts involving two-wheelers and three-wheelers, which had been observed in preceding years.

The Police Commissioner discouraged youth from indulging in irresponsible riding and traffic violations during the celebrations, pointing out that when youths engage in reckless driving, it is ultimately their parents who are adversely affected by the consequences.
