MHSRB Releases Merit Lists for 1,192 Specialist Doctor Posts in Telangana

HYDERABAD — The Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board on Tuesday released provisional merit lists for civil assistant surgeon specialist posts across 10 medical departments in Telangana. The verification of certificates for shortlisted candidates will take place on August 13 and August 14 at the Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare located in Vengal Raonagar, Hyderabad.

The recruitment drive is being conducted for government hospitals functioning under the Directorate of Secondary Healthcare, also known as the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad. The newly announced provisional merit lists apply to specialist doctor positions in 10 specific branches.

These departments include ophthalmology, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), pathology, dermatology, psychiatry, pulmonary medicine, forensic medicine, hospital administration, biochemistry, and microbiology. The publication of these merit lists marks a key step forward in filling vacant specialist positions across state-run healthcare institutions.

The Telangana government had initially issued a recruitment notification aimed at filling a total of 1,616 civil assistant surgeon specialist posts. With the announcement made by the board on Tuesday, the recruitment process for 1,192 of these doctor posts has now reached completion.

Based on the scores in the provisional merit lists, candidates have been shortlisted for the upcoming document verification phase in a 1:2 ratio against the total number of notified vacancies. The complete list of candidates who have been selected to appear for verification is available for review on the official Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board website.

The verification process will be conducted over two days, on August 13 and 14, at the Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare campus in Vengal Raonagar. In addition, the board has set aside August 17 as a designated reserve day for candidates who are unable to attend on their scheduled dates, as well as for those who need to submit pending documentation.

Candidates attending the verification sessions must bring all original certificates along with two complete sets of photocopies for each document. The required paperwork includes an Aadhaar card, SSC or equivalent certificate indicating date of birth, community or caste certificate, and other documents specified in the recruitment rules.
