MEIL and Analog partner to launch robot facility and traffic pilot in Hyderabad

Infrastructure developer Megha Engineering & Infrastructures (MEIL) and Abu Dhabi-based Analog have partnered in an equal joint venture to deploy Physical Intelligence solutions in India, starting with an active traffic pilot project around the State Secretariat in Hyderabad. The joint venture plans to invest $300 million to $500 million over the next three years, which includes setting up a manufacturing facility for robots and drones in the city.
MEIL Managing Director PV Krishna Reddy and Analog founder and CEO Alex Kipman announced the partnership. The joint venture aims to leverage MEIL's scale and operational reach alongside Analog's technology.
Physical Intelligence represents the capacity of machines to perceive, understand, and act within the real world through continuous learning, rather than relying on rigid programming. The companies explained that this technology helps build a living model of the world that grows more intelligent with each interaction.
The joint venture will focus on providing technological solutions for critical urban challenges, such as traffic management, power distribution, and security. Additionally, Reddy noted that these solutions will find applications in the healthcare and education sectors.
Beyond the ongoing traffic pilot project around the State Secretariat, the partnership is planning to establish a product development facility for robots and drones in Hyderabad.
The collaboration will target deployments across multiple sectors, including intelligent infrastructure, mobility, smart urban systems, advanced sensing, operational intelligence, robotics, spatial computing, industrial transformation, public safety, and AI-enabled real-world environments.
Kipman stated that India is one of the most important technology opportunities in the world, citing its engineering talent, infrastructure ambition, and entrepreneurial energy.
Addressing queries about the Megha Group, Reddy highlighted that while the company is popular as an infrastructure developer, it is well diversified with a strong technology connection as a leading electric bus maker and fleet operator. The group clocked more than Rs 55,000 crore in revenue last fiscal year and is executing an order book of about Rs 2.5 lakh crore over the next few years.
