Meerpet Police Seize 26 Two-Wheelers in Lenin Nagar Cordon-and-Search Drive

As part of intensified efforts to maintain public order and prevent crime, the Meerpet Police conducted a comprehensive cordon-and-search operation in Lenin Nagar and surrounding areas under the jurisdiction of the Meerpet Police Station.

During the Saturday operation, police personnel carried out thorough searches and verifications of individuals, vehicles, and suspicious premises across the locality. The drive was organized to detect illegal operations, track habitual offenders, and ensure the safety and security of local residents.

Over the course of the searches, officers identified four rowdy-sheeters and three suspects. All seven individuals were subjected to detailed background verifications and necessary inquiries by the police team.

Police teams also confiscated several vehicles and unauthorized items during the inspections. A total of 26 two-wheelers and one auto-rickshaw were seized for verification and further legal action. In addition, officials seized two domestic gas cylinders, gutka and tobacco products valued at approximately Rs 4,000, and 2.7 litres of liquor.

Officials stated that the primary objective of the exercise was to curb anti-social elements, inspect suspicious movements in the neighbourhood, and deter criminal activity through visible enforcement.

Meerpet Police announced that similar cordon-and-search operations will continue to be conducted at regular intervals across various localities as part of their preventive policing strategy and commitment to maintaining law and order.
