Medak Police Deploy Sniffer Dog Zoobie For Anti-Drug Checks In Sardhana

The Medak police conducted surprise anti-drug inspections and a drug awareness program in Sardhana, under the Haveli Ghanpur police station limits, on Friday. The operations, which aimed to detect the illegal sale, transportation, and stocking of narcotics, were carried out under the direct instructions of Medak Superintendent of Police D.V. Srinivasa Rao. A key participant in the search operations was Zoobie, a specialized narcotics detection dog deployed to identify illegal drugs and banned substances.
During the surprise checks, police teams focused their efforts on several local establishments that were identified as vulnerable to the sale or storage of illegal substances. Officers systematically inspected local hotels, kirana stores, tea stalls, and pan shops throughout the Sardhana area. The primary objective of these searches was to identify and seize any stock of ganja, illegal drugs, and prohibited tobacco products that might be illegally transported or sold.
Alongside the physical inspections, Haveli Ghanpur Sub-Inspector Satyanarayana issued a strong warning to local merchants and the public. He stated that strict legal action would be taken against any individuals found to be involved in the sale, possession, or transportation of narcotics and other banned substances. He urged the local shopkeepers to strictly comply with the law and completely refrain from selling any prohibited products in their establishments.
In tandem with the enforcement drive, the police department also focused on prevention by organizing an educational awareness program at a local school in the area. During the event, officers educated the school students about the severe and harmful effects of drug abuse, encouraging them to stay away from narcotic substances entirely.
The department indicated that surveillance would continue at these vulnerable locations to prevent the illegal trade and distribution of banned substances.
