Man Dies at AIG Hospitals After Being Hit by Nephew's Car During Puja

A man undergoing treatment at AIG Hospitals in Gachibowli died on Saturday morning after being accidentally struck by his nephew's new car during a vehicle puja at the Peddamma Temple in Jubilee Hills.

The deceased has been identified as Tummalapalli Ram Chandra Rao, a resident of Penugonda mandal in West Godavari district. According to reports, Ram Chandra Rao and his wife, Ganga Bhavani, had travelled to Hyderabad to seek medical treatment and were staying with their nephew, Sai Kumar, at his residence in Miyapur.

Following Sai Kumar's purchase of a new car, the family members, including Ram Chandra Rao and Ganga Bhavani, visited the Peddamma Temple in Jubilee Hills to perform a traditional puja for the vehicle.

During the ritual, the temple priest reportedly instructed Sai Kumar to move the car slightly forward. Instead of applying the brakes, Sai Kumar allegedly pressed the accelerator. The vehicle moved forward abruptly and struck Ram Chandra Rao, causing severe injuries.

Immediately after the incident, Ram Chandra Rao was rushed to AIG Hospitals in Gachibowli in an auto-rickshaw for emergency medical care. He succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
